omegrown telecommunications company PT Immobi Solusi Prima has launched an online application encouraging netizens, especially millennials, to vote in this month’s simultaneous presidential and legislative elections.
The web-based app, which can be accessed at AyoNyoblos.id, offers a host of options that allow users to easily keep tabs on the upcoming race.
After signing in using either their Google or Facebook account, users will also have access to features that allow them to upload photos of their ink-stained fingers to show off their participation in the elections and post comments that can be shared among other users.
Meanwhile, features such as guessing the outcome of the coming presidential election and a user-generated leaderboard are expected to increase engagement among the public.

PT Immobi Solusi Prima CEO Erick Sitorus hopes that the app will help increase voter turnout later this month.
“We expect the app to encourage voters to use their voting rights. Voters have been using the app since April 1,” Erick said as quoted by tempo.co.
The country has seen a steady decrease in voter turnout over the last three presidential elections, according to the General Elections Commission (KPU).
Data from the commission shows that nonvoters made up 23 percent of the 2004 elections. The figure shot up to 27.45 percent in 2009 and again to 30.42 in 2014. (rfa/asw)
