A

special collection of Vans Vault shoes inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, called Vans x Frida Kahlo, is set to be released in Indonesia through multibrand sneaker boutique Dope & Dapper.

The collection will be available in three silhouettes: the OG Sk8-Hi LX series featuring a self-portrait of Frida with dash of dark green at the top, the OG Authentic LX series that showcases a watermelon motifs in detail and the OG Slip-On LX series, which displays Kahlo’s painting from the 1940s, Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird

Kahlo is celebrated for her self-portraits and Mexican-inspired works.

According to a statement from Vans, each model displays a vulcanized sole on the bottom of each shoe and a cushion of leather material on the heel.

No fixed date has been announced on the availability of these sneakers, but they will reportedly be sold in all Dope & Dapper boutiques, which can be found in Jakarta, Bandung in West Java, Yogyakarta and Surabaya in East Java. (ayr/kes)
