Amid excitement over the rollout of the MRT this month, commuters who have never experienced a subway train service in Indonesia have raised concerns over possible emergency situations, such as floods and fires. Emergency drills have been carried out several times by MRT Jakarta. However, only the two-day fire drill that took place on March 5 involved more than 400 would-be passengers; the others only involved MRT staff members. (JP/Wienda Parwitasari)
