Residents in Central Java's Demak said the water started to rise three years later. When the Post visited the village recently, three hamlets in Bedono were already under water. Parts of three villages — Bedono, Sriwulan and Timbulsloko — are constantly submerged in water, while Tugu village started to become inundated during tidal floods. (JP/ Donny Fernando)
