Despite limited funding, the Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC) in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, is still managing, through ups and downs, to rescue wild animals captured by humans and kept as pets. Working under the Yogyakarta Nature Conservation Foundation, the rescue center has rescued about 1,000 animals since its establishment in 2010.
