AKARTA: Musician and orchestra conductor Erwin Gutawa was more nervous than his daughter, singer Gita Gutawa on the night of her concert.

Gita held her solo concert "Gita Gutawa's Juke Box" (Kotak Musik Gita Gutawa) Thursday at Balai Sarbini, South Jakarta.

Erwin said that he was nervous because this was the first time he directed a concert. "I usually play, now I'm the director, telling people this and that," he said as quoted by detikhot.com.

The 16-year-old Gita meanwhile was more relaxed during the concert after intense rehearsals. "It was quite tiring though, I had to change costumes four times," she said.

Gita sang more than 20 songs during the concert. The pink-themed concert started with a video of Gita as a toddler singing Balonku (My Ballon).

Gita's musical career started after being featured in a duet with ADA Band. Recording company SonyBMG offered her a contract and an album with her own name and this was released in 2007. - JP
