BUD: The IDEP Foundation and Alam Santi announced they would organize a permaculture course in Ubud, Gianyar, from Feb. 5-17.
The organizers said participants at the course, hosted by Australian John Champagne, would receive an international certificate allowing them to practice, teach and work in permaculture design, an approach to designing human settlements modeled on natural ecologies.
The organizers claim the certification is needed by hotel and resort owners looking to get a “green” edge, by NGOs to increase their capacity, and by landowners looking to best utilize their natural resources. — JP
