our comments on the alleged act of debt collectors who were said to have killed a Citibank customer who complained about his inflated credit card bill:

Indonesia needs to prosecute murderers. Most Indonesians consider this is a Muslim country. OK, then an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

Prosecute murderers and put them to death.

Citibank’s headquarters and Bank Indonesia should remove all Indonesian head representatives and directors.

Let’s admit it, aside from Citibank, almost all other credit card companies and banks resort to irritating collection practices that border on harassment while they look the other way.

There should be a law and, more importantly, the law should also be strictly implemented. And it’s time that they are held accountable for resorting to such practices.

We all know that they hire hooligans that the Jakarta city government has given a license to promote what they do.

Shocking! Citibank should be held accountable for the crime. All the banks should be reprimanded heavily.

But, then with BI preoccupied with their own scandals, what can we expect?

This is just outrageous. Killing and stealing customers’ money is just not worthy of its name.

Banks used to be a place where it was presumed your money was safe. Now we can’t even presume that a customer will be safe once he walks through the door. Thoroughly scandalous, outrageous and totally unacceptable behavior.

There should really be some laws about such debt collection practices. Citibank and other international and local banks should be held accountable for hiring such thugs to collect debts. Is life really worth the amount of the debt?

If there was no sign of violence (according to the police) then where did the blood come from? Even if he died of a heart attack caused by the collectors it is still manslaughter.
