JAKARTA: Singer and actress Sita Nursanti has taken quite a liking to starring in musicals.
In the last two years, the 36-year old has performed in five musicals.
The former member of the now-defunct trio RSD never thought she would end up acting given her background as a musician.
“I never planned this...I had to work hard because acting is not my expertise,” Sita said as quoted by kompas.com on Thursday.
The West Java-born star demonstrated her acting skills first at the theater in 2001, in a play titled Nyai Dasima. Since then she has been involved in several movie and musical productions, including Soe Hok Gie, Gita Cinta, Onrop and Ali Topan. — JP
