AKARTA: Korean-style girl band 7 Icons said they had a tough time when they relocated to Jakarta in the early days of their career.
“It was very tough. There were conflicts with our families. Our parents did not want to let us move to Jakarta because they doubted we would be successful, especially as we already had fixed jobs in each of our own towns,” group member Putri Ajeng, or PJ, said.
She added that the girls would call their parents to tell them that everything was fine even though the reality was the opposite.
“The expenses were so huge and there was not any income. We once ate two eggs that we shared among seven of us,” she said, as reported by kapanlagi.com.
She added that the girls did not tell their parents about their actual condition to prevent them from ordering them to return home.
“We wanted to move forward, to make it big,” she said.
