ALEMBANG: Grand Master Susanto Megaranto of Indonesia forced a draw in the final game of the men’s standard chess event, playing against FIDE Master (FM) Kya Liw Naing of Myanmar, to win gold in Palembang, South Sumatra, on Monday.
Susanto collected the highest number of points in four of the total of five games.
The silver went to Grand Master Wesley So of the Philippines who collected 3.5 points, while the bronze claimed by FM Kya Liw Naing with 3 points.
