State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has taken over nine gas stations from Malaysia's Petronas, including one in Dago, Bandung.

'Petronas' logo was replaced with Pertamina's today [on Friday], as Pertamina has taken over several Petronas gas stations,' Pertamina marketing and trading director Hanung Budya said Friday, as quoted by tempo.co.

The other Petronas stations taken over by Pertamina include ones located in Cibubur, East Jakarta; Bumi Serpong Damai and Alam Sutera, Tangerang; and two in Medan, North Sumatra.

According to data from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, Petronas has 19 gas stations in Indonesia.

In April 2013, Pertamina won tender for the nine station locations and land assets owned by Petronas. (apt)
