A newcomer to the film industry, 16-year-old Tatjana Saphira Hartman has shown a promising flair for acting in two films, comedy flick Get Married 4 and teen romance Crazy Love. Starting out as a model, the 11th-grader feels that acting is her true calling.

'€œCrazy Love was actually my first movie, but Get Married 4 came out first. So, it seemed as though the latter was my first film.

Being involved in two different film genres has been a valuable experience. In Get Married 4, which is a comedy, my character was more of a modern, fashionable and outspoken girl, who is totally unlike me. I love exploring my acting skills as an extrovert individual.

In Crazy Love, I played a straight-A student who tries to help out a bad boy in her school.

Fortunately, all went well during filming.

I had dreamed of becoming an actress since I was very small. I grew up watching Hollywood movies; then I fell in love with filmmaking and decided to join the industry.

Being an entertainer is my all-time passion. Besides acting, I also love singing and performing. As a matter of fact, when I was younger, I used to stage performances at home with my father and my kid brother. My father plays guitar very well.

Now, I focus on acting. I took a two-month private acting class, and I also observe the acting skills of
Hollywood actors in various films, which have helped me a lot.

I hope to be able to act in a variety of different film genres in the future, as I'€™m still developing my skills. Action movies would be fine; playing antagonistic characters would be challenging as well.

My favorite Indonesian actress has got to be Dian Sastrowardoyo. I really like her image, especially when she played Cinta in Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? [What'€™s Up with Cinta?]. From Hollywood, I love Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie films.

When I'€™m not working, I have a number of hobbies. For one, I love to cook. My father and I often have some cooking projects going on at home. Cuisine is definitely my other passion; maybe I'€™ll run a culinary business in the future.

I do sports, too. At the moment, I'€™m crazy about running. I'€™ve joined a jogging community in Senayan [Central Jakarta], and we usually take part in Car Free Day events [on the weekends] and sometimes we run races. I used to be a big swimming fan '€“ we have a pool at home '€” but over the past two years, I haven'€™t done so much swimming.

Last but not least, I collect music CDs of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. No specific reason; they'€™re simply great bands that have a list of great records, so they'€™re easy to collect.

When it comes to holidays, I love going to beaches. Bali, for instance, is never dull for me, although some may say the island is overrated.'€
