he Nasdem Party started its first open campaign in West Java by holding mass meetings at Electoral District (Dapil) I (Bandung-Cimahi) and Dapil IX (Ciamis and Kuningan regencies and Banjar city) on Sunday.
'We campaigned in Ciamis by explaining our vision and mission on carrying out restoration, encouraging clean and effective government and rescuing the environment,'chairman of Nasdem's West Java chapter, Eka Santosa, told Antara news agency on Sunday.
He added that his party had disseminated its vision and mission prior to the open campaign period.
"We've been doing this long before the open campaign by involving communities," said Eka, former speaker of the West Java Legislative Council.
Eka was campaigning in Ciamis regency, also his birthplace. Nasdem has set a target to have at least one legislative candidate win in every electoral district for both the provincial council and the House of Representatives.
At Dapil I, which oversees Bandung and Cimahi cities as well as Bandung and West Bandung regencies, the first day of the party's open campaign season was centered on Jl. Titimplik in Bandung and was enlivened by an open stage.
West Java Nasdem spokesman Herry Satari said that the party always involved communities.
He said that the party's outdoor campaign event was held in a well-mannered, educational and entertaining way.
' We try to avoid activities that the public might disapprove of,' Herry said. (put)
