he 2016 Tour de France will visit Andorra for three days, seven years after cycling's showpiece race made its last stop in the small Principality.
Race organizers announced on Thursday that the country, located in the Pyrenees mountains and bordered by Spain and France, will host a stage finish and a stage start. Riders will also have a rest day in Andorra.
It will be the Tour's fifth visit to Andorra following previous visits in 1964, 1993, 1997 and 2009.
The 2016 Tour will start at the Mont-Saint-Michel, one of the country's most famous tourist attractions. The remainder of the route is to be announced in October at the official race presentation.
The 2015 Tour starts July 4 in the Dutch city of Utrecht.
