erindra Party secretary-general Ahmad Muzani has confirmed that Gerindra chairman Prabowo Subianto will meet President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo later this afternoon.
Prabowo will meet the President in his capacity as chairman of the Indonesia Pencak Silat Association (IPSI).
Muzani said that the two would discuss various issues, possibly including the recent dispute between the police and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"I don't think they will focus on the hot topic of the dispute, but there is a possibility it will be discussed," Muzani said on Thursday as quoted by kompas.com.
The discussion will primarily focus on the achievement of the IPSI in emerging as the overall winner in the pencak silat competition, he said.
"Pak Prabowo informed me yesterday that he would report IPSI's achievement [to the President]. Whether they will also talk about the latest development in politics, we'll have to wait and see," he added. (hhr)(++++)
