he Jakarta Police have opened Central Cikarang police station in Bekasi regency, West Java.

The newly opened police station brings to 109 the number of police offices under the Jakarta Police'€™s jurisdiction.

Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Unggung Cahyono said the force was focusing on acting against violent theft, motorcycle robbery and public rallies. '€œMay Day is coming and I urge my officers to give these issues their full attention,'€ Unggung said as quoted by tribunnews.com at Jakarta Police headquarters during the ceremonial event on Tuesday.

Unggung went on that the Central Cikarang police office was built on 10,800 square meters of land using Rp 7.99 billion (US$617,200) from the 2014 state budget. The new police office has 40 officers.
