Vice President Jusuf Kalla led a ceremony to dispatch the body of former Finance Minister Ali Wardhana to public cemetery (TPU) Tanah Kusir in South Jakarta from his family'€™s home on Jl. Patra Kuningan XV No. 6, South Jakarta, on Tuesday.

The body of the New Order'€™s economic development architect was sent to its final resting place at 9:30 a.m., with a military burial ceremony and final honors from Kalla and several other distinguished guests. Former president B.J. Habibie and Bank Indonesia (BI) governor Agus Martowardojo were among the state officials who paid a visit. Earlier, Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Yuddy Chrisnandi and businessman Hashim Djojohadikusumo were also seen paying their final respects to the distinguished economist.
