Inspired by critically acclaimed Filosofi Kopi (The Coffee Philosophy), main actors Chicco Jericho and Rio Dewanto have turned the location set into a real coffee shop.
At the coffee shop in the Melawai business district in Blok M, South Jakarta, the two actors have materialized their love of Indonesian coffee beans and beverages.
'The film changed me. I used to drink coffee out of sachet packages, but now I prefer freshly brewed coffee,' said Rio at an event to commemorate International Coffee Day on Tuesday, tribunnews.com reported.
The film, directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko, is based on a novel written by Dee Lestari. The story is about the struggle faced by Jody and Ben in keeping open their coffee shop while dealing with their personal problems.
Chicco took five barista classes for the role, saying that he found making a cup of expresso the toughest task.
'I manage the coffee shop, while Chicco is the barista at our coffee shop,' said Rio.
