Noted songstress Anggun C. Sasmi won the International Breakthrough Award at the Anugerah Planet Muzik (APM) 2015 in Singapore.

She also received the Diamond-Sales Award for selling one million albums in Europe from 1997 through 2015.

'€œI'€™ve been criticized a lot because of my choice to go abroad and start my international career,'€ she said as quoted by Antara news agency.

'€œThese awards show that I made the right choice and I hope I can encourage all of you to never stop being ambitious.'€

The '€œMimpi'€ singer is finishing her latest album, which is being produced by English hitmaker Brian Rawling, who has worked with Celine Dion, One Direction and Kylie Minogue.

The album'€™s French version will be released in France on Nov. 20, before its English version is released for the Indonesian and other markets in 2016.
