ingapore Airlines is scheduled to launch a non-stop flight to Düsseldorf, its third destination in Germany, on Thursday. The airline plans to use its new Airbus A350-900 fleet for the route.
Flight SQ 338 will depart Singapore on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. (Singapore time). Flight SQ337 is scheduled to depart Düsseldorf for Singapore on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11:30 a.m.
The Düsseldorf route is designed to complement the airline’s existing services to Frankfurt and Munich.
With the additional flight route, Singapore Airlines will soon run 38 weekly services to and from Germany.
The company said in a statement that it had placed an order for 67 A350-900s.
The airline is considered to be the best airline in Asia and, despite slipping one place, continues to be ranked third-best in the world, according to the latest passenger survey by international air transport rating organization Skytrax.
