he government will open three representative offices overseas to provide assistance for Indonesian citizens who want to participate in the tax amnesty program. The offices will be based in the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong.
"We have got the provision from the Foreign Ministry in three representative cities, namely London, Singapore and Hong Kong," Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He further said many people had been flocking to the tax offices since registration opened three days ago to get further information about the amnesty program at the tax amnesty help desk.
"They expect there will be no revisions when they submit their applications to this program. We expect tax amnesty participants to download the form, check the help desk to see whether they have submitted it correctly or not, and then proceed to the registration desk," Bambang said.
The special help desks will serve the public up to March 31, 2017, as stipulated in the Tax Amnesty Law. (ags)
