ad weather has hampered the distribution of election material to geographically challenging areas in three regencies in Jambi, namely Sarolangun, Tebo and Muarojambi.

Asriadi, the commissioner of the Sarolangun General Elections Commission (KPU Sarolangun), said some villages in the regency were hard to reach, particularly Sepintun, Taman Bandung, Lubuk Napal, Lubuk Bedorong and Eka Marga Bukit Bulan.

“We’ll keep trying to complete the distribution process to those areas today,” said Asriadi on Tuesday.

Rain and damaged roads have slowed down the process, he added.

Meanwhile, for the Tebo elections, the KPU Tebo used 13 trucks and 2 minivans to carry election-related logistics to 669 polling stations in 112 villages across the regency.

“The distribution process to all polling stations was safeguarded by police personnel,” KPU Tebo commissioner Adhiyenti said.

In Tebo, there are five districts that are difficult to reach because of complex geography and substandard infrastructure. These districts are Sumay, Muaro Tabir, VII Koto Ilir, Tebo Ilir and Tengah Ilir. (trw)
