he General Elections Commission (KPU) is optimistic that the distribution of election material to all polling stations in 101 provinces, regencies and cities will be completed by Tuesday, or a day before Election Day.
No obstacles, including bad weather, were reported regarding the distribution process, KPU commissioner Arief Budiman said.
“If there is no extraordinary incident, we believe all logistics will be delivered to all polling stations tomorrow [Tuesday],” Arief said on Monday.
He added that there was no problem regarding the distribution of election material to geographically challenging regions, including islands and mountainous areas, since the distribution process in those regions had begun two weeks earlier than in other areas.
“We’re still delivering logistics to some of those areas [with high geographical challenges], but the situation is under control,” Arief went on to say.
