rivate lender MNC Bank launched a digital platform on Thursday featuring a game-based app in hopes to increase the number of customers by 25 percent this year.
MNC Bank president director Benny Purnomo told reporters on Thursday that his bank hopes to gain 50,000 new customers by the end of 2017, in addition to the 200,000 existing customers.
With the introduction of the digital platform, the bank expects to book over Rp 350 billion in new savings accounts this year, Benny said.

Meanwhile, MNC Bank director Benny Helman said the new application consisted of a financial literacy program with a segment for modern families who have children ages 7 to 15.
“It is equipped with games that will teach children three main financial concepts: earning, saving and spending,” Helman said, claiming that it was the first digital banking app ever published in Indonesia.
The bank spent about Rp 3 billion to develop the application that was taken from the Rp 80 billion budget allocated for the bank’s digital development in 2017, he added.
Purnomo said 20,000 people were expected to download the application by the end of this year. (yon/bbn)
