he Jakarta Police arrested Iyus Rusmana, 43, on Monday for allegedly sending a text message threatening to bomb the Istiqlal Grand Mosque in Central Jakarta.

Iyus allegedly sent the text message to the mosque caretaker on Saturday at 12 a.m.

After receiving the text, the mosque caretaker reported the threat to the Sawah Besar Police.

The police directly followed up the report by teaming up with the Jakarta Police’s general crimes division.

The police also searched his rented house in Meruya, West Jakarta, Argo said.
