he South Tangerang Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) in Banten has discovered IDs belonging to someone who is registered as a member of several different political parties for the 2018 regional election, an official said.
“During the administrative verification process, we found numerous cases where one ID had been registered to two parties or more,” South Tangerang Panwaslu head Aas Satibi told tribunnews.com on Sunday.
Aas added that he could not yet confirm the exact number of cases because the committee was still counting the number of IDs that had been submitted.
To verify the data, he said the ID holder would be questioned to see what party he or she supported.
To be able to participate in the upcoming election, each party in the city is required to have at least 1,000 proven members. (fac/ebf)
