View all search resultsTo prevent the misuse of village funds, Tangerang authorities in Banten will tighten the monitoring of the village fund program.
Tangerang police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Sabilul Alif said on Thursday that the police had coordinated with the region’s Community Empowerment and Village Administration Agency (DPMPD) to monitor, prevent and handle any irregularities related to the program.
"We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Tangerang regency's DPMPD and we will also provide guidance for all babinkamtibmas [police officers assigned to villages as advisors on security and public order] regarding the monitoring of village fund allocation," Sabilul said, as quoted by wartakota.tribunnews.com.
Babinkamtibmas is to ensure that the fund will arrive on time and that the recipients receive the exact amount as intended.
He said the implementation of the village fund program, which is aimed at developing infrastructure, medical and learning facilities, should be monitored so that it can benefit society as intended. (rdi)
