o provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has issued Governor Instruction No. 2/2018, which allows disabled people to work for the city administration.
The regulation was based on Article 53 of Law No. 8/2016 on people with disabilities
The governor regulation, which was issued on Jan. 3 orders city officials to give a chance for disabled people to work for the administration.
Two percent of the total city administration workforce will be disabled people, the regulation has said.
The regulation also guarantees that disabled people will have the same rights and obligations as non-disabled employees.
