J

akarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno showed up at the Jakarta Police headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday for questioning regarding a fraud and embezzlement case in which his former business partner, Andreas Tjahjadi, has been implicated.

During questioning, Sandiaga once again denied any involvement in the case.

According to Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono, Sandiaga was required to answer several vital questions. During the first questioning session, Sandiaga claimed he had to leave early to attend to other matters and was therefore summons to appear for questioning again.

The case emerged when a woman identified as Fransiska Kumalawati Susilo filed a police report against Sandiaga and Andreas concerning alleged land fraud and embezzlement in 2012.

Andreas was named suspect on Oct. 19, 2017 and has been detained at the police headquarters. He has been charged under Article 372 of the Criminal Code on embezzlement and fraud.

Fransiska filed a new report on Jan. 8 on alleged fabrication. (dpk)
