ingapore-based budget accommodation platform RedDoorz is expanding its business in Indonesia, channeling US$10 million into 20 new Surabaya properties that are scheduled to open by the end of 2018.
RedDoorz chief operating officer Rishabh Singhi said in a statement that Indonesia had given the company a good start to their business.
“As of now, we have more than 65 percent of loyal customers in Indonesia who repeatedly use RedDoorz service,” he said, as quoted by kontan.co.id on Thursday.
RedDoorz started its Indonesian operation in July 2015, cooperating with hoteliers and guest house owners to provide lodging service at a low price.
The budget accommodation platform currently lists 500 properties with over 3,000 rooms across 16 Indonesian cities.
RedDoorz is attempting to attract more guests In Surabaya by offering a broader service option in cooperating with several creative industries, ranging from restaurants to a barbershop. (dpk/bbn)
