ocal retailer PT Ramayana Lestari Sentosa announced on Friday that it would pay Rp 268.91 billion (US$18.99 million) in dividends to its shareholders.
Ramayana commissioner Muhammad Iqbal said the dividends accounted for 66.14 percent of the company’s 2017 net income of Rp 406.58 billion.
The remaining Rp 137.67 billion will be allocated as retained earnings.
"The dividends will be paid on June 29," he said after the shareholder's meeting in Jakarta.
As Ramayana has 6.72 billion shares outstanding, the dividend per share is Rp 40.
Iqbal also revealed that shareholders had agreed to appoint Jane Melinda Tumewu as vice president director. Previously, Jane held the position of Ramayana general marketing and merchandising manager.
"In the previous meeting, we introduced Jane to the shareholders. She is the daughter of Paulus Tumewu and Tan Lee Chuan, the founders of Ramayana," Iqbal said. (bbn)
