I

ndonesian comedian Ruben Onsu has been running his own restaurant chain called I Am Geprek Bensu, which serves spicy ayam geprek (crushed chicken) as its specialty dish. The restaurant has dozens of branches across Indonesia, receiving good reviews from its customers.

Ruben said the next step is expanding his restaurants across the world, starting with a new branch in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

“I am considering Amsterdam. There are a lot of Indonesian people living there,” he said.

He also believes that people in Amsterdam are familiar with Indonesian food, so it will be a good idea for him to introduce his famous ayam geprek to Europeans and also to bring his food closer to the Indonesian community in the city.

Ruben said his younger brother lives in Amsterdam, so he can ask for his help to manage the restaurant.
