View all search resultstate-owned oil and gas holding company Pertamina started to operate portable fuel pumps at gas stations in earthquake- and tsunami-stricken cities in Central Sulawesi on Friday to gradually provide the survivors with fuel services.
Communications and CSR manager of Pertamina in the region Roby Hervindo said the fuel pumps were sent to Central Sulawesi gradually by air, sea and land transportation.
He said 20 fuel pumps, which were flown from Pondok Cabe Airport in South Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday, were operating in four gas stations in the Central Sulawesi provincial capital of Palu on Friday.
“The planes that transported the equipment, had to transit in Balikpapan or Makassar for refueling and to queue for the departure to Palu,” Roby said in a statement issued by Pertamina on Friday.
He explained that six portable fuel pumps were operating at the gas station on J. Muhammad Yamin, four pumps at the station on Jl. Ki Hajar Dewantara, five on Jl. Dewi Sartika and five on Jl. I Gusti Ngurah Rai. (bbn)
