The ruling Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the Democratic Party formed a coalition to nominate candidate pairs running for regional head posts in 28 of the 270 regions in the country that will participate in the elections, which are to be held simultaneously on Dec. 9.
