The summit hosted by South Africa runs from Saturday to Sunday at the Johannesburg Expo Centre amid geopolitical tension, including a boycott by United States President Donald Trump, who has accused the South African government of discriminating against white citizens.
Ahead of the G20 presidency's impending handover to the United States, followed by other Global North economies over the next three years, the Johannesburg summit marks a turning point in sustaining the multilateral order.
