View all search resultsItalian mafia-linked fugitive Antonio Strangio, who has been on the run from international police since 2016 for drug trafficking and production, was arrested last week in Bali, the local police have announced.
Djoko Soegiarto Tjandra, once a fugitive implicated in the Bank Bali corruption case, said that he had negotiated with businessman Tommy Sumardi to arrange for his return to Indonesia, with Tommy initially asking for Rp 15 billion.
Napoleon was previously removed from his post as the the National Police’s international relations division head for his alleged involvement in removing Djoko’s red notice status, allowing the graft convict to freely enter the country despite being on the most-wanted list since 2009.
