The Laguna Resort & Spa is one of Nusa Dua's coolest places, with its lush landscape and 287 elegantly designed guest rooms, suites and villas.
here are many reasons to love Nusa Dua. Aside from its gorgeous beaches, beautiful sunrises and tempting turquoise water, the easternmost part of Bali is also home to many cool venues.
The Laguna Resort & Spa is one of those places, with its lush landscape and 287 elegantly designed guest rooms, suites and villas. Part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Luxury Collection, the resort also has several outdoor areas that provide a tropical ambiance, perfect for a relaxing afternoon by the beach.
Cascade Bar
Only a few steps away from the lobby, this unique outdoor bar promotes jamu (traditional herbal beverages) as its signature drink, which are also served as the resort’s welcome drink. Come around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday or Sunday to watch how the barmen make jamu, and continue to enjoy your time by watching a fire dance show.
Cornerstone
Head here to munch on the daily gourmet offerings such as sandwiches, wraps and delicious desserts, or play a game at the billiard table. Indoor seating is available, but the outdoor space has a more relaxing ambiance. Set on the resort’s upper level, the café also serves coffee and a choice of fine wines.

Kul Kul Bar
With its soothing music, fresh breeze and comfy spots, Kul Kul Bar is a good choice for those seeking an afternoon drink after a long stroll on the beach or a swim in the majestic 5000-square-meter lagoon. Try Laguna’s signature cocktails if you visit the bar. You will love the clove scent and fizzy sensation of its signature concoction, The Last Cocktail, or perhaps its Bali Tai, a lychee-based mocktail that brings freshness back to your taste buds.
Arwana restaurant
Compared to the other spots, Arwana restaurant is the best option to enjoy Nusa Dua beach as you can sit lazily under the shade of trees and sniff the fresh ocean air from the bay. Open for lunch and dinner, Arwana is best known for its Sunday BBQ by the beach, which includes fresh seafood and a premium meat selection for Rp 480,000 (US$36.20), including beer, iced tea and soft drinks. While you’re there, don’t forget to try their signature Lobster Thermidor. (kes)
