View all search resultshe Tourism Ministry is supporting the Batam Tourism Business Forum (BTB) 2017 slated for May 12 in Batam, which aims to promote and develop tourism investments to attract both domestic and foreign tourists.
“Local tourism industry practitioners, as well as those from Singapore, Malaysia and China, are expected to come to this event,” said Esthy Reko Astuti, the ministry's archipelago tourism marketing development deputy.

Initiated by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the event is said to invite all tourism stakeholders in Batam, including the Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA), Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), Indonesian Exhibition Companies Association (Asperapi), Indonesia Congress And Convention Association (INCCA), Indonesian Association of Tourism Professionals (ASPPI) and Riau’s administration officials.
“Batam is one of the most vital places for Indonesian tourism since it is one of the entrance gates to Indonesia besides Bali and Jakarta,” Astuti added. (asw)
