ali Classic Motor Show (BCMS) 2 is slated to run in the parking lot of Lotte Mart on Jl. By Pass Gusti Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, from Aug. 14 until 23.

"This year, [the exhibition] is themed Tourism and Motoring, a concept that combines the love of classic cars with tourism," said BMCS 2 committee head Gde Agus Mahendra Pendit.

Classic cars have proven to be popular tourist attractions on Bali, leading the event to be permanently included on the Bali Tourism calendar for the next five years.

Featuring classic cars and motorcycles, the upcoming event will showcase pre-World War II vehicles from 1908 to 1940 and post-war vehicles that were assembled between 1950 and 1970.

"The committee is conducting a strict evaluation process involving the originality of the spare parts, age and historical values," said Gde.

In addition to the vehicles' ages, in that they should have been manufactured before the 1970s, the exhibition is also applying a new regulation that limits the total number of vehicles to 50 for each category. (jes)
