Singapore Airlines announced its partnership with ride-hailing application Grab on Wednesday.
The airlines said in a press release that the partnership is meant to provide customers with seamless travel experiences when traveling to the airport in six Southeast Asia countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
As part of the partnership, both companies are said to integrate their mobile apps, allowing the airline’s customers to book Grab rides via SingaporeAir mobile app, seven days prior to their scheduled flight. Those using this feature will be directed to the Grab app to order a Grab ride at their desired airport.

Meanwhile, members of the carrier’s frequent flyer program KrisFlyer and Grab’s GrabRewards program can enjoy additional benefits, such as converting GrabRewards points into KrisFyler miles.
Additionally, customers also have the opportunity to win a pair of economy class tickets to Maldives in a contest by entering code ‘GRABSQ’ in the promo field on Grab app for bookings between Oct. 9 and Nov. 9. The ride-hailing application users with the most Grab rides booked during this period will be the winner.
“We are thrilled to bring more convenience to our customers on the ground and in the air through our new partnership with Grab, while also offering KrisFlyer and GrabRewards members the opportunity to convert points to miles and redeem them for award flights or flight upgrades,” said Singapore Airlines senior vice president sales & marketing Campbell Wilson.
