he last day of Border Fest 2017 in Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan falls on Nov. 26. The event initiated by Tourism Ministry has been going on since Nov. 11 and is being held at Sei Sembilan Sports Building (GOR).

It features activities such as gerak jalan (healthy walk), parades, culinary booths, product expo, UMKM (micro, small and medium enterprises), public service, stage performances, drum competition, music festival and marching band competition.

“There are Bian Gindas [band] and dangdut singers Icha Morista and Billa Amora who entertain visitors,” said the founder of Border Fest 2017, Iskandar AS.

There’s also a performance of Malaysian traditional dance from Mentadak Village by Tari Bayu Dance Kreasi dance studio.

Border Fest is expected to return next year. (asw)
