How to get there

Kebayoran Station is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the southern end of Jl. Pakubuwono VI, making it easy to reach by train. Other modes of public transportation also travel along the road, including the metro mini route S69 that travels from Ciledug to Blok M, as well as Kopaja S614 that travels from Cipulir to Pasar Minggu.

The street is comfortable to explore on foot, so it is best to wear comfortable shoes. It's also a good place to relax and wear t-shirt and jeans, as the street is located in a laid-back residential area with casual eateries to hang out in.

Jl. Pakubuwono is a wide road with generously sized sidewalks, making it a comfortable choice for a weekend stroll. Along the way, there is Patung Tumbuh and Berkembang Park, where you can catch your breath and sit down.

Those on the lookout for beauty treatments have several options to choose from, as the street is home to several beauty centers. A well-known establishment is the Beyoutiful Aesthethic Clinic, which offers a wide range of services for skin and hair. The facility offers skincare treatments, such as laser treatments, light, as well as botox and fillers.

Beyoutiful was co-founded by Dr. Tompi, a University of Indonesia (UI) medical graduate who is also a well-known singer. Tompi, whose real name is Teuku Adifitrian, specialized in plastic surgery at UI's School of Medicine and opened Beyoutiful with four partners.

Meanwhile, music fans looking to learn how to DJ or in search of equipment to rent may want to pay a visit to Metronom. The facility offers two studios to rent for practice sessions, as well as providing DJ courses and equipment rental.

As a laid-back and strategically located neighborhood, Jl. Pakubuwono VI makes for a suitable choice for a coffee session to catch up with friends, or even during busy hours, also a comfortable place to perch yourself at a cafe to catch up on work.

Across the street from the Pakubuwono Residence is a branch of Anomali Coffee, which specializes in Indonesian coffee beans. Tucked in a corner, Anomali provides a cozy place for a bite and a drink. The cafe boasts premium coffee beans sourced from all across the archipelago, such as Aceh Gayo, Bali and Toraja. Meanwhile, on the other end of the street, there is also Starbucks Reserve, which provides specialty coffee beans from around the world.

Those looking for a proper meal might want to give Sate Khas Senayan a try. Although outlets can now easily be found across Jakarta, the restaurant opened its first branch on Jl. Pakubuwono VI in 1974. At the time, it was created as an answer to providing local cuisine amid western and other international cuisines that were available. Over 40 years later, Sate Khas Senayan has become a familiar eatery to find favorite local dishes.

Its signature dish is sate ayam (grilled chicken skewers), which is served with its special creamy peanut sauce on a hot stone grill. Additionally, the restaurant also serves Indonesian dishes from Java and Bali, including nasi kuning, nasi pecel, fried chicken and tahu telor (tofu omelet). Prices start from Rp 25,000 (US$ 1.75) for a serving of sate lilit or sate kambing campur for Rp 104,000.
