Annual travel fair promotes cultural villages in East Java

The Majapahit Travel Fair returned for its 20th edition in Surabaya, East Java, from May 2 to 5.
Aside from promoting tourist destinations, the event also aimed to showcase the archipelago's diverse cultural and natural resources by highlighting "cultural villages" as its theme.
Open to the public for free, the travel fair featured 150 booths as well as activities such as famtrip and travel exchange programs, competitions, live entertainment, tourism talkshows and a MICE forum.

The famtrip program was available for both public visitors and exhibitors, and itineraries included trips to Panji Museum, Warna Warni Jodipan village and Pujon Kidul tourism village in Malang. Meanwhile the travel exchange program involved 100 buyers from 10 countries that have direct flights to Surabaya. (sop/kes)
