aruda Indonesia has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sriwijaya Air, NAM Air and Aerowisata Hotels & Resorts to expand its GarudaMiles loyalty program to the services of those companies.

In a statement made available to The Jakarta Post on Monday, the national flag carrier said the integration allowed members of GarudaMiles to enjoy various benefits and miles redemption through Citilink Indonesia, Aerowisata and operational partner Sriwijaya Air.

The move marks the latest extension of GarudaMiles after the carrier had integrated the loyalty program with Citilink Indonesia in 2017, through a program named Supergreen Garuda Miles.

GarudaMiles members can now obtain and redeem mileage points from flights with Citilink, Sriwijaya, NAM, as well as from staying at Aerowisata properties and shopping at inflight shop GIA Mall.

Citilink, Sriwijaya, NAM and Aerowisata are subsidiaries of PT Garuda Indonesia.

Garuda commercial director Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah said the integration of the loyalty programs took cues from the previous one between GarudaMiles and Supergreen, which contributed to revenue growth since 2017.

“We are optimistic that the loyalty program integration will strengthen brand positioning and exposure,” said Pikri of the program that already has 7 million members.

He went on to say that the integration with Aerowisata was expected help the company tap further into travel, logistic, transportation and food services, providing added value for the members. (mut)
