AKARTA: The Dr. Murjani Hospital in Sampit, Central Kalimantan, received Sunday an American suspected to have been infected by the H1N1 virus.

Bun Suyuti Syamsul, Director of the Sultan Imanuddin Pangkalan public hospital, said that his hospital had received the patient Sunday afternoon but had recommended Dr. Murjani hospital handle his influenza-like symptoms.

He added that the patient was a volunteer set to work for an orangutan rehabilitation center in Tanjung Puting National Park.
