he Bosowa Group, a Makassar-based conglomerate with diversified business interests, has recently established a new subsidiary PT Ersa Eastern Aviation in a move to take over Sky Aviation, which temporarily halted its operations in March this year.
Bosowa Corporindo CEO Erwin Aksa, who is also the nephew of Vice President Jusuf Kalla, said that they were still in the process of acquiring a 100-percent stake in the airline from its previous investors.
'We are still in the process of acquiring the company and we plan to have a new business model,' Erwin said as quoted by kontan.co.id.
He refused to elaborate the company's new plan on Sky Avition, but he said that they would change the name of the airline.
'We also want to buy a number of new aircraft to add to the current Sky Aviation fleet,' he added.
By March 19, 2014, when it decided to suspend its operations, Sky operated three Sukhoi SuperJet 100s, five Fokker F50s, one Fokker 100, one Cessna Caravan and one Cirrus SR-22.(nfo)
