View all search resultsHalim Kalla, president director of construction company PT Bumi Rama Nusantara (BRN), now known as PT Bakti Reka Nusa, is among the four individuals suspected of conspiring to manipulate the project’s tender process to secure the contract unlawfully.
“Of course residents who ask [mosques to lower the volume of speakers] should not be charged [...] It’s an acceptable request to make, even the DMI has asked mosques to set their speakers at a tolerable volume and not to use the speakers for too long,” Kalla told reporters at his office recently.
Kalla, who has issued vague statements about whether he intended to run in the election next year, has been touted as one of the most viable figures to be paired with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo in the upcoming presidential race.
