Jabra Evolve set to improve concentration and productivity
Working environment factors greatly in terms of productivity. In a modern office infrastructure, having to concentrate whenever and wherever you are means a lot. Whether you are actively working in front of the PC or mobile, having your own concentration zone that keeps distraction away is a must.
Understanding this problem, Jabra recently launched its Evolve series, a professional range of headsets that improve the concentration and conversations of knowledge workers.
There are a total of 10 variants released in Indonesia; six of them equipped with the Busy Light feature that can be activated whenever the user is on a call. Four other models have a mono or stereo variant that suit different scenarios.
The first and the most feature-rich wired headset is the Jabra Evolve 80. Having a premium sound experience, this headset is also exclusively equipped with active-noise cancellation. Users will have the option of plugging in a 3.5mm jack integrated to use with smartphones or tablets, or using the USB adapter when using a PC.
Another unique feature is the microphone boom arm. Giving the best quality for the user's voice, the boom arm can be rotated to mute one's voice in a call. After that, the boom arm can be hidden and integrated on the headband when not on a call or simply listening to music.
The active-noise cancellation can be combined with the also exclusive Listen-in feature that enables the user to hear their surroundings without having to remove the headset. Music and calls will be muted, however the microphone will remain on allowing the user to be distracted if they so desire. With all features available, knowledge workers will surely improve their productivity.
Unlike other models, the Evolve 80 does not come in stereo or mono variants but users can still choose between Unified Communication (UC) certification by Cisco or Avaya, or Microsoft (MS) certification for use with Microsoft Lync.
The second model in the series is the Jabra Evolve 65. Being a wireless headset, this variant aims at workers with high mobility in mind. With Bluetooth v3.0, the Evolve 65 also uses Class 1. That means users can use the headset as far as 30 meters from their PC, smartphone or tablet. Dual connectivity is also available by pairing it wirelessly with a smartphone or tablet while also being connected to a PC at the same time, which means users can take calls on their preferred phone device at any time.
The Jabra Evolve 65 is also equipped with an integrated microphone boom arm like that in the Evolve 80, as well as built-in NFC to easily pair with a smartphone or tablet. Interestingly, despite having all of these features, this headset can live up to 10 hours, so no more low-battery concerns.
Similar to the Evolve 80 in terms of features, the Jabra Evolve 40 also borrows the characteristic design from the Evolve 65. Likewise, this third model uses wired connectivity and leatherette ear cushions just like the Evolve 80, but with a more compact feel like the Evolve 65.
The last two models are the Evolve 30 and the Evolve 20; both have a similar design and size but differ in material used for the cushions. The Evolve 30 uses leatherette ear cushions, just like the other three Evolve models, while the Evolve 20 uses foam ear cushions. In terms of usage, both are best used with a PC as they come with USB adapters integrated.
By using the Evolve series, knowledge workers can improve productivity by up to 65 percent at work because every distraction takes on average 23 minutes before a user is able to concentrate on what they were working on.
Jabra Evolve series is available with starting price of US$59 to $419.
