ansgrohe's SilicaTec Granite Sink is the perfect new centerpiece for an innovative kitchen. Available in graphite black, stone grey and cement grey colors, it is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and comprises under mount and top mount single bowl sinks, double bowl sinks and single bowl sinks with a draining board. The minimalist linear design is credited to the prestigious Phoenix Design Studio.
SilicaTec utilizes a composite made from only-rounded quartz from quartz sand and acrylic resins, making the sink a smooth, hard and non-porous surface that is easy to clean and dirt-repellent. Furthermore, it is odorless, UV-stable, heat-resistant, food-safe, impact-resistant and stain-resistant. SilicaTec is easy to take care of and has a natural look that is pleasing to the eyes, an essential for kitchens everywhere.
The granite sink also comes with a choice of two intuitive controls, based on each user's preference, and is positioned at the front right-hand side of the sink for easy access. For the first feature, the central control unit can control the precise water temperature and volume desired. Once selected, these settings remain constant. Water flowing from the tap can then be turned on or off by simply pressing the Select button on the high spout. However, on the second model, the Select button is located on the right sink rim. Turning the button opens and closes the drain and turns on and off the water from the kitchen tap. The worktop and sink are positioned in such a way as to integrate seamlessly into a single unit. Moreover, both models allow users to control the flow of water using the back of their hand or elbow.
The hansgrohe sBox stows away the hose of the pull-out spray tap in a flat casing to keep the cabinet tidy and orderly. It also protects the hose from being bumped into by drawers and waste bins, and ensures comfortable, smooth and quiet functioning. However, it is only suitable for hoses up to 76 centimeters long. hansgrohe also includes a diamond drill bit with each sink, enabling the installer to drill precise holes for taps and other fittings, such as dishwashing liquid dispensers. Holes are indicated on the underside of the sink, or can be positioned according to individual needs.
In terms of style, not only does it come in three colors, the hansgrohe also offers a variety of shapes and sizes. The dark and light colors can be set to an individual's desired design accents that complement the minimalist component of the sink. The broad rim surface showcases the material and provides room for additional features. In addition, the overflow in all of hansgrohe’s granite sinks is hidden from sight, giving the sink a clean, uncluttered look.
